ANDROID MARKET:Most Popular 8-Android Application Found guilty in Millions Dollar AD Fraud Scheme

CHEETAH MOBILE:  a prominent chinese app company ,known for its most popular serving apps like clean master and battery Doctor and one of its subsidiary Kika Tech have been found guilty and been caught up in Android Ad-fraud scheme that stole millions of dollars from advertisers.

According to report of app analysis from app analytics firm kochava, having total of 2 billion downloads comprises of 7 Android apps developed by cheetah mobile and 1 from kika tech have been caught up for falsely claiming the credits (rewards) for making users to download a new application for which they claim a reward bounty.

In spite many of mobile application legally promotes to download new application and claim their reward legally with bounty which ranges from $0.50 to $3.00.

The process behind understanding of newly installed application that through which application and ad it was promoted,is very simple .It just 'lookback' to the last click which user have clicked to install their application.

According to Buzzfeed News, kochava found the two i.e cheetah mobile and kika tech are misusing user permission to track when user download new applicatiion and are apparently exploiting this due to hijack app-install bounties for even applications installed from other referals.

6.CM LOCKER(105 million users)

7.CM FILE MANAGER(65 million users)

8.KIKA KEYBOARD(owned by kika tech 205 million users)

so,if you have find any of the above application installed on your android device Don't wait to uninstall them all.immediately.

The misusing feature of this app is they inappropriately says that they have claimed the users to install a new app by showing ad's,eventhough they don't.And  bounties they get for this fraud ranges in millions of dollar as explained above.

Kika tech responded to allegation claiming the company has no intensions of engaging infraudulent practices .and "it will do every thing to quickly and fully rectify the situation and surely take action against It.

The blamming of cheetah mobile on third-party SDK'S(software development kits)

was rebounded as Kochava pointed out SDK which was involved in the click fraud activity is actually owned and developed by cheetah mobile itself, but still cheetah mobile Declined It.

But,at the end company has given some days to still investigate regarding this fradulent activity and come to a conclusion as soon as possible or else strict action will be followed according to rules.
